Hello,

This is Marietta Banzon Castillo. I am the eldest grandaughter of Don Manuel Banzon of Balanga, Bataan.  My father is Col. Jose V.H. Banzon and my mother is Maria Nicolas.  My father was the Philippine Military Attache in Saigon, Vietnam and spent his 25 years career in Southeast Asia.

 I have three brothers...Rolando, Angelo and Victor.

I am seventy years old, married to Mario Castillo a chemical engineer UP grad , and have two children, Anna and Mark and had one grandson from each of them Alex and Jarod.

Ambassador Cesar Banzon Bautista  was our ninong sa kasal  and also he was Mario's  boss at Philippine refining Company  before we migrated in 1968 to the USA.  Reading one of the blogs caught my attention when his name was mentioned. On our last trip to the Philippines in 2012 as Mario was in the Balik Scientist program, Mario got in touch with him.

 Hopefully I could generate some interest from other Banzons to communicate with me.

I am doing some family research on our roots in the Philippines.  My grandfather was from Danao, Cebu and his brother, Eritiqueno Nunez was married to Laureana Banzon.  They lived in Denao and had five children, Eritiqueno Jr, Jesus, Eunice, Alma and Wilfredo.  She and Eritiqueno were married in the mid to late 1930's I believe. 

Any information on Laureana's family would be appreciated!

Here it is finally.....if you go to the homepage of the Banzon website, and click on the Banzon Photo Album link which contains pictures of various relatives (mostly of the Don Manuel Banzon clan of Balanga, Bataan, and click on the third page of the photos, there is the photo of Don Manuel Banzon as a young man (complete with monocle))...Interesting to see! Thanks to Victor Ancheta for usage permissions.

Meet yet more people who may be your 1st, 2nd, 3rd....degree cousins. First go to the "groups" tab.
